Dispossession draws parallels between two sets of man-made bodies of water - Kielder Reservoir and the ponds, the former of which has been the single biggest influence to shape North Tyne society in recent years, closely followed by the closure of the railways.

The work uses repeated house-shaped forms to echo the memory of the house evacuations required to develop Kielder Water and the local decommissioned railway line - decisions made on behalf of a wider society that impact on a smaller community.
