Julie Livsey

Julie Livsey is an artist whose work reflects her interest in change, chance and the unknown. Her work is often made in conjunction with water and is influenced by its effect both on the landscape and those who inhabit the landscape.

Her work is as varied as the manifestations of water itself; for example, in Australia she choreographed the movement of the sea whilst in Slovakia her work re-established water from the River Danube to the ancient moat of Bratislava. In the UK she re-enacted the journey of a seven-month-old baby washed away during the Great Flood of 1771.
